This past Monday, my sister gave birth to her second child, and first son, Jayden. It was the most calm and peaceful birth I’ve ever attended. The doctor had her walk back to the surgery room. Less than an hour later, they wheeled the baby into the room. Desi followed shortly after. A scheduled c-section is definitely low-key in that aspect. And Jayden was healthy and perfect. What a blessing!
Proud cousin.
Charlie made Jayden a bracelet with his name on it.
Chance really enjoyed Jayden holding his finger.
We also spent the week at the campground, visiting with Grandma and Grandpa, although I didn’t manage to take any photos. Really wish I could have a redo for that.
We also spent some time at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Bob Bullock Museum. I was grateful that my friend Kira met us for the Wildflower Center and we got to spend some time together.
Even though we were only there from 10-12:30 it was HOT.
My dear Kira and her younger ones – Eris and Kaedric.
Fun friends!
We had a great fall break, with holding a newborn, playing tourists in Austin, having meals and playing games with family and friends, and getting a break from the norm. Now, back to the grind….
