July Fourth

Since I was a kid, I always loved the fireworks of July 4th. And if there’s one city that knows how to do fireworks well in Texas, it’s Austin. So this year, Aunt Mimi drove up from Port Arthur, and we loaded up to go see fireworks on Lake Travis.

Mimi looks good with the in-car headphones. Winking smile

First we met at Anna’s pool and enjoyed some family time before it got dark.  This is precious Maddie, about 6 months old.

And then Zoey arrived, who’s all of 1 month older than Maddie.  She looks a lot like her mama.

Uncle Charlie got a great upper body workout that day, throwing his nephews and son around. That’s no easy feat: Charlie’s at least 70 pounds!
