This year was a banner year for bluebonnets. Regretfully, I was too busy to take photos much during the blooming season. One day, I decided to just “make it work” in the midday sun, and my friend Sarah and I took our young ones to play in them. Her daughter Katie and Chandler are buddies. 
Of course, he has to pick me flowers. He brings me bouquets every day.
I hope her daddy forgives us for this one…

And one evening, on a whim, we decided we’d better make the best of it and just take a quick family photo. It’s not my favorite, but at least we managed to get something during this beautiful season. I’m so sad to report that the owners of this field have since cleared and scraped off these lands to prepare to build some commercial sites.
