So back in July (still), Chuck’s sister Mitsi and her sweet family came down from Kentucky to spend a week in Austin. Chuck just so happened to need to work in Austin that week, so we set up camp and had a lot of fun with the fam.
We enjoyed Lake Travis (what was left of it).
Uncle Chuck finally has kids to mess with…
This is Chance catching a fish. It’s not the first he’s ever caught, but something about this one made him hooked (get it? haha) on fishing. He wanted nothing to do with swimming the rest of the time we were there if he could fish instead.
Luke and Chan.
Luke and Charlie enjoying every last ounce of sunshine…
Lovin’ on Grandma.
Catching footballs at the hotel pool. I wonder if Paul’s arm hurt because he must’ve thrown footballs for at least a couple of hours. The boys loved it! (Ethan)
Luke, getting ready to run and jump for it.
Not to be outdone, even Ruby got in on the action.
Charlie.
Chuck and his dad chillin’ at the end of the day.
We also played a lot of board games. This is Mitsi and the boys playing yahtzee.
What’s a trip to Tx without Salt Lick?
Celebrating Ruby’s birthday.
The whole gang (minus Chuck and Ryan, who had to work. Bummer.)
Also in this week, Chandler really got better at swimming underwater…
We took some time out to visit our friends Harlan and Lucy. Here’s the crew of kids ready to jump in together.
And then we celebrated Beau’s birthday (the Parishes have a virtual Christmas in July, with three of their four kids’ birthdays). We went to Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne. That place is so fun, if you haven’t gone, it’s worth it!
Beau was in full Cowboy gear and truly acted like a cowboy all.day.long. It was the cutest thing ever!
We watched Pistol Packin' Paula perform with her whip and pistols. Chuck kept offering for his dad to do things...so she pulled him up as a volunteer instead. And he ate a little humble pie...
After a fun and way hot day at the Ranch, Chandler fell asleep like this…notice he still had his pistol Beau gave him…
And we actually got a shot of the whole crew! Yay!
