This is what happens...

A friend once told me that when her kids made messes, she'd photograph them to laugh at, instead of melt down about it. So I made a folder in flickr where I keep such photos...And thought I'd share a few. If you get a laugh out of these, it'll be worth the clean up! ;)

THIS is what happens when you move into a new house and your almost-2 year old finds a crayon:
A Rocketship

This is what happens when you let a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old brush teeth without supervision.
(look closely, toothpaste even made it to the floor...)
This is what Happens

This is what happens when you give the boys a bubble bath with the jets on:
This is what happens

This is what happens when a 2 yr old comes in contact with a beloved orchid plant:
This is what happens

This is what happens when you try to photograph a 2 yr old with his new baby brother:
This is what happens

This is what happens when a 2 yr old gets ahold of baby brother's bottle:
This is what happens

This is what happens when you take the kids on a fun day trip (the almost-2 yr fusses the entire time!):
This is what happens

This is what happens when a 2 yr old gets quiet for a few minutes:
This is what happens

This is what happens when you give your kids sidewalk chalk:
This is what happens

This is also what happens when a 2 yr old gets quiet for a few minutes:
This is what happens
(You just can't see the bandaids all over the bathroom.)

This is what happens when you don't use a sippy cup:
This is what happens

This is what happens when a 10 month old can reach the garbage:
This is what happens

This is what happens when you take boys shopping:
This is what happens

This is what happens to food left on the table:
This is what happens

This is what happens when the 1 yr old gets the bath salts:
This is what happens

And in case you were wondering, this is what happens when the same 1 yr old gets into the cornstarch:
This is what happens

Moral of the story - be very fearful of a few minutes of quiet coming from a 2 yr old, or anything that is within the grasp of a 1 yr old.

Ahh, the joys of motherhood.

I love it! You are so great to take pictures of everything and remember what happened. Oh boys and quiet..... they just don't go together.

Oh My Gosh! This is PERFECT. I loved how you did this.. I am so sure it does help the mom melt downs (as a mom of just 2 boys).
