Another exciting thing about this is the new health insurance company. As you may recall from a post a couple of months ago, I've had terrible experiences with Humana for the last 8 years. The interesting thing is the timing. Chuck came home yesterday telling me he thought he'd accept the offer. I then checked the mail and got a letter from Humana saying they were rejecting my appeal for how they handled Charlie's recent dental work. So, hearing that we'd be with a new health insurance company definitely softened the blow and gave me hope for the future!
Some more good news: since my last post about my headaches, I haven't had any more. So thank you so much if you prayed for me!! And to celebrate feeling better, yesterday my sister and I took the boys to a local kids' museum called The Witte. It was an absolute blast! And of course, I have pictures...

[If you click on this one and view the large version, you can see how much Chance resemblances Maribelle. They even have the same nose!]
Ok, so that's all the big news here...so much is going on! I have so much to be thankful for...and it's not even Nov. 22nd yet.

Comment from The Thiers &- Blog Archive &- SA or Austin? You decide.:
[...] 1. We went from 6th Street and a place for adults to play, to a family friendly town! There are tons of things for the kids here: Sea World, Fiesta Texas, museums, parks with playgrounds, restaurants with playgrounds (even nice restaurants, not just McDonalds!!), the zoo, the zoo, and did I mention, the zoo? And the feel of the town is different too... There's not much of a night life because this city really does revolve around raising kids. I went from getting scowls and even being reprimanded in public when my baby cried or threw a fit, to having people give me pats on the back for nursing my baby, or disciplining my fit-thrower, and even telling me I looked beautiful when I was big (and whale-like) and pregnant! The difference between Austin and San Antonio have been like night and day in contrast. [...]
Comment from The Thiers &- Blog Archive &- I'm not Super Woman after all:
[...] ~I know this is a super-long blog, but there's more to catch up on. Remember how I told you about the big dentist bill we never anticipated? Charlie had to be put under anesthesia to get 2 root canals, and it ended up a financial nightmare that my health insurance didn't hardly cover. The dentist said he needed my authorization to do whatever else he thought necessary while this was happening...what I didn't know is he found 8 cavities to fill!! So my bill to him went from $250 to nearly $2 grand!! Anyhow, the second half of this story...the hospital and anesthesiologist was supposed to be covered under the medical (versus dental) side of the insurance. But for the last 4 months, Humana kept rejecting the claims. I even filed an appeal, telling them they needed to cover this. Finally, Chuck mentioned it to the HR dept. at Rackspace, and they offered to help me with it. While Humana is still refusing to pay (which makes no sense, it should be covered!), Rackspace has decided to cover it anyway! This was a potential $3500 bill on top of what we've already paid, which had given me a few nights of no sleep and more than a few tears shed in the last month. I had truly agonized over the fact that I couldn't seem to fix this problem. Once again, I'm not Super Woman. [...]
